RE Technologies GmbH launches the advanced 4.2M160 wind turbine generator
.

The firm unveiled the product at the ongoing Wind Energy Hamburg Trade Fair 2024, this launch highlights RE Technologies’ latest innovation in wind energy technology, reinforcing its commitment to efficiency and sustainability on a global stage.

RE Technologies | Senvion India has officially launched its groundbreaking 4.2M160 wind turbine generator, marking a significant technological advancement in harnessing the potential of wind energy. Designed and developed by the in-house R&D teams in India and Germany, and manufactured locally, the 4.2M160 is designed to maximise energy output through advanced control technologies and adaptive systems that respond to environmental changes for optimal performance.

The 4.2M160 turbine is the first 4 MW WTG by RE Technologies & Senvion group, with a rotor size of 160 m and hub heights up to 140m. The turbine is based on the proven DFIG technology with the 78.5 m blade specifically designed for low wind conditions. The turbine will be certified under IEC RE OD 501 and is adaptable to the grid code compliance standards in India and other markets. Equipped with an advanced controller to enable reliable performance also in low wind conditions as well as reducing loads for reliable long-term operations, the 4.2M160 offers enhanced reliability and an extended lifespan by reducing strain from extreme conditions with reliable power output. The turbine design also ensures operating in the sand, dust and high-temperature climate, making it a highly agile solution for various markets. 4XM’s modular design ensures tailor-made solutions to deliver business case certainty.

Made in India for India and the World: Senvion, with its advanced local manufacturing capacity of over 1,000 MW and sourcing 85 per cent of wind turbine generator (WTG) parts from within India, demonstrates a strong commitment to boosting local industry while serving global needs.
