The new manufacturing facility of Panasonic Life Solutions in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh is gaining the attention of the electrical industry for various reasons. According to the company, this facility aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the Southern Region and develop market synergies by providing swift material deliveries and customer delight. This modern factory unit is spread over 133,584 sq. mt, and currently covers a floor area of 37,025 sq. mt. Panasonic’s Haridwar and Daman factories are primarily addressing the demand from the West and North markets. This facility is going to offer a huge logistic advantage for Panasonic Life Solutions while meeting South Indian market demand.

Panasonic is one of the national leaders in this area, with a 38 percent market share. Furthermore, their most recent products, such as Penta Modular and Ziva, have enhanced their position in this market.
“Our market share in the luxury market sector is barely 5 percent,” Nandwani added, “but we dominate the market by having around 45 percent market share in other areas.” In addition to their new launches in the semi-economy modular range, Panasonic is working on capturing the luxury segment too in the near future. Also, PLSIND is keen on strengthening its stand-alone product verticals like home automation and IoT products for Indian customers.
Nandwani explained further about the capacities of their factories. “Today at Haridwar, we have a 40-million capacity per month from its two factories.” At the Daman facility, we have a capacity of 4.5 million per month, and here at Sri City, we are looking at 100 million at full capacity.
