Enhancing Power Plant Performance | Panel Discussion | EPR Magazine
May 27, 2024 6:35 pm
India’s power plants, responsible for a significant portion of its greenhouse gas emissions, were aging and poorly maintained, leading to lower efficiency and higher emissions.
To address these issues, the Indian government aimed to increase renewable energy capacity and improve power plant efficiency. However, factors like equipment failure and inefficient operation affected performance.
On this note, EPR Magazine hosted a Live Power Talk on ‘Enhancing Power Plant Performance’ on May 21st from 04:00 PM onwards, to discuss the current landscape, explore innovation opportunities, and address the challenges. Despite these advancements, challenges such as aging infrastructure, cybersecurity risks, equipment failure, power outages, and a shortage of skilled workforce persisted. The focus was on sustainability, resilience, and digitalisation to combat climate change concerns.
The session was scheduled for 21st May 2024, 04:00 PM – 05:30 PM.
