Mr. Gaurav Upadhyay has over 12 years of experience implementing large-scale developmental initiatives in diverse sectors, including climate finance, just transition and renewable energy. Before joining IEEFA, Gaurav worked as a Climate and Energy Consultant at the World Bank, where he played a pivotal role in orchestrating the implementation of multi sectoral lending and technical assistance projects. He received the Prime Minister Rural Development (PMRD) fellowship from the Ministry of Rural Development in 2014, which gave him a chance to work closely with the central and state governments for a two-year period. Gaurav advocates for clean energy and climate mitigation. He has represented the World Bank and other organisations at high-profile forums dedicated to addressing energy transition challenges.
