Today, 35 percent of India’s population lives in urban areas and contributes 63 percent of India’s GDP (Census 2021). “At APAR, we understand that meeting such development goals requires implementable solutions”, says Shashi Amin of APAR Cables.
How can cables and wires contribute to the agenda of smart cities?
Smart cities are the future, where we envisage a technologically modern urban area that carries core infrastructure and provides quality of life with a clean and sustainable environment through “smart” solutions.
Backed by extensive R&D and a strong research team, we have introduced a comprehensive range of application-specific wires and cables in India. As India’s leading cable manufacturer for renewables, we also supply hybrid cables, harnesses, telecommunication, general-purpose LV, MV XLPE cables, fixed and flexible wires and cables to various speciality sectors such as railway locomotives, coaches, naval ships, submarines, solar and windmills.
We are also proud to be India’s first and only end-to-end telecom solutions manufacturer, supplying a complete range of specialised copper and fibre cables. Our product range for the telecom sector includes fibre optic cables, hybrid cables, LAN cables, copper cables, and optical ground wire (OPGW) cables.
Which latest developments are happening in the industrial and commercial cable segments?
Today’s customer seeks sustainability and sees value in long-lasting, time-saving, and affordable products. To cope with these evolving expectations, we have developed a range of next-generation wire harnesses at APAR. These wire harnesses simplify the connection to larger components by integrating the wiring into a single unit, making installation as easy as “plug and play.” The concept of a wire harness is commonly used in the transportation industry, including automobiles, buses, trucks, and planes. We discovered that the harness was primarily imported for the Electrical Vehicle (EV) sector.
